This has been one of my daytime skin essentials for months. I find it to be really hydrating for the dry parts of my face, yet it doesn't make my T-Zone oily. Having a built-in SPF is also a time-saver, because ain't nobody got time for that extra step of putting on sunscreen separately (except for the fact that my new moisturizer doesn't have an SPF so I actually do have time for that...). The pump bottle makes it very hygienic, as jarred moisturizers tend to collect bacteria easier (since you're sticking your fingers in them daily), as opposed to in a pump bottle where your hands never come in contact with the product inside. I would most certainly repurchase this.
CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in Black Brown ($7 for .44fl oz)
This has been a favorite of mine for years. I had this tube for about eight months, which is when I noticed that it was getting drier on me. Once it gets really dry, it could start flaking off your lashes and into your eyes, which is a huge hazard. They say 3-6 months, but my mascara was still perfectly okay. There was no odor or change in formula, and once it started getting drier than normal, that is when I decided to throw it out. I use expiration dates on beauty products as guidelines, because throwing mascara out after 6 months and 1 day just seems silly to me, as if there's a magic threshold it crosses after that time period. As long as you stay aware after that time for any changes, I think you can stretch them a little bit. I definitely wouldn't keep mascara once it gains a strange smell or becomes considerably drier, because that could mean too much bacteria has accumulated, or it could flake. I'm now trying out Benefit's They're Real! mascara, so I'll keep you updated on how that goes! Nevertheless, I will continue to repurchase this mascara in the future, once I finish up all of my sample tubes from subscription boxes.
Ecru New York Luxe Treatment Shampoo (Sample Size [2oz]: $7.50)
(Full-Size [8oz]: $20)
This was a monthly favorite last month that I received in my July Sample Society box. After I dyed pink streaks into my hair, I switched to a sulfate-free shampoo and never looked back! This is the second one that I've tried, and I liked it even better than the first one (EVOLVh's Ultra Shine Moisture Shampoo). I'm so happy I tried it, and I would definitely repurchase it in the future (though I never stick with one shampoo for long, since I get bored).
Bausch + Lomb Biotrue Contact Solution ($5 for 4 fl oz)
My eyes are very important to me (for obvious reasons), and as a contact lens wearer, I try to be as gentle with them as possible. This is the contact solution my doctor recommends, so it's one I've been using for awhile. I'm not completely devoted to it, but I like it, and I do think it keeps my contacts fresher for longer. This was a free sample I was sent in the mail from a Facebook promotion, which was lovely. I have repurchased before and I will repurchase again. Right now I'm using ReNu Sensitive, which is made by the same company, but I will buy this at some point (it's not like I can ever have too much; I'll always need it).
Well, that's everything for this month. Running out of products is sad, but the good part is that you get to buy more!
