Mail Time! 7/23/13

Hey, everyone! After a month away from home, I just came back last night. My mother had piled up all of my mail on my nightstand, and when I got home, needless to say, I was very excited to go through it all. I opened everything earlier today, and now I'm very excited to share what I got with you! If I went into detail with everything, this post would be absurdly long, so for now I'll just give you a sneak peak and then make more in-depth posts later. ;)

Gift from HSN & Beauty Report (Free)

Last month, I was watching HSN[Home Shopping Network]'s Beauty Report and they were having a special event where they were tweeting with their viewers. Well, I was tweeting with one of the HSN representatives and I was chosen to receive a free gift! I was super excited, especially since a lot of the brands HSN sells are out of my price range. I received a few products from Korres and Elysee from them that I'm really excited to try out! You can check out the different beauty products HSN sells here

Stunner of the Month Box for July 2013 ($9/month ~ Free)

I found out about this monthly subscription box last month from the girls at the Subscriptions Anonymous Facebook group. There was a coupon code to try your first box free, so I figured I might as well give it a go. I'm not sure if it will still work, but you can try if you like. The code is: TRYSTUNNER. I'm not going to continue this subscription service for a number of reasons, but mainly because I don't need a new pair of sunglasses every month. Still, it was fun to give it a shot.

Beauty Bar Sample Society Box for July 2013 ($15/month ~ Free)

I found a free code for this on Subscriptions Anonymous as well, and figured I might as well try it out. It's a monthly beauty subscription service for $15 a month, and although I liked what I received, I like Ipsy more, and Ipsy is $5 a month less. Still, it was a nice box to receive, and I don't not recommend it. This has a nice mix of beauty products, and doesn't concentrate as much on makeup as Ipsy does. It had some well-known, well-regarded brands in it, and it was a nice box to receive! I liked last month's box better, but this box included some good-sized products, and I'm in no position to complain! If you decide to order, please use my referral code (MXXN9002). I'm not quite sure what I receive for people joining, but might as well right?

I was running low on one of my HG items, the Wen Replenishing Treatment Mist, so I decided to order more on QVC's website. There was a Today's Special Value for it so it came out to $20, which is a pretty good price. It sounds expensive, but this stuff lasts me forever, so I won't have to be repurchasing for a long time. Plus, this is their summer seasonal scent, so now seemed to be a good time as ever. The scent is mild and pleasant, and as always, Wen's Treatment Mist helps tame my fly-aways, so I'm happy to have more!

Biotrue Contact Solution (Free Sample)

BioTrue is my favorite contact solution, so I was really happy to receive this free sample in the mail. I feel like it keeps my contact lenses fresher for longer, and even my optometrist recommends it. It's a little bit more expensive than ReNu or Opti-Free, but I think it's worth it.

Aveda Shampoo & Conditioner Samples (Free)

I won a weekly sweepstakes with Aveda, so they sent me some free samples of shampoo and conditioner! I love freebies, especially shampoo since I go through it so quickly. You can never have too much shampoo! The conditioner might come in handy when travelling, but I don't normally use it since I have plenty of my beloved WEN.

Perfume Samples: Estee Lauder Pleasures Pop & Ralph Lauren Red (Free)

I signed up to receive these on Facebook weeks ago, and although they're the typical peel-up-paper kind of samples, I'm still happy to receive them. Because they were free. Are you noticing a trend, here?

Samples from Restorsea (3 Free Sample Packets)

I signed up to receive some free samples from Restorsea. Last time I did so, I received some really great sized samples (I'm talking actual tubes of eye cream), so I was really excited when they were giving away free samples again. I was disappointed to see I only received three tiny one-use sample packets, but it was still free. Darn you, Restorsea, for getting my hopes up!

Garnier BB Cream (Free Sample Packet)

Their BB cream has gotten mixed reviews in the beauty world, so I was really excited to get a chance to try it out for myself! The sample packet is really small, so I'm just crossing my fingers that it'll be enough for one full use.

Eucerin Dry Skin Repair Lotion (Free Sample Packet)

I've received bigger samples of Eucerin in the mail before, but I was still happy to get another sample of their lotion! Although I can be pretty lax on moisturizing my body in the summer, I use a good amount of body lotion in the colder months. You can never have too much lotion! At least, that's what I keep telling myself.

Suave Moroccan Argan Oil (Free Sample Packet)

I signed up to receive a free sample from Suave on Facebook. I don't quite remember when, but I'm happy to have it now! I received their version of Argan Oil, and it's probably all silicones, but meh.

Always Tampax Radiant Samples (Free)

I received a free sample of feminine hygiene products from Always. You can never have too many of those. Unless you're going through menopause, or you're not a girl. In that case, feel free to give me yours!

Escada Perfume Samples: Escada Elixer and Escada Delicate Notes (Free)

I've heard that Escada perfumes smell amazing, so I was happy when they were giving away free samples! They're the typical paper-one-use samples, but that's still enough to figure out if I like it or not. Excited to see if the hype is worth it!

After receiving a NYX blush that wasn't in a shade I could use in last month's Ipsy bag, I traded mine with a woman on Subscriptions Anonymous who had the same problem. I've never tried a cream blush before, so I'm excited to see how I like it, especially since they're supposed to work well on us dry-skinned folk. There seems to be some bubbling on the top, so I'm hoping the heat didn't damage it. Hopefully it'll work just the same!

I traded a woman in Subscriptions Anonymous to receive this. You probably know that I'm completely obsessed with the Yaby concealer that we received in Ipsy's May bag, and now that I'm starting to run out, I was wondering how I would live without it. But now I don't have to! Sure, I could simply repurchase it on their website, since it's only $5, but they're a Canadian company so shipping to the U.S. adds up to around $25! I love this concealer, but not enough to pay $20 in S&H for it. I'm so happy that I don't have to worry about that anymore! At least, not for awhile anyway.

Goodies Co. Taster's Box ($7/month ~ Free)

I found a "Your first box is free" code on--you guessed it--Subscriptions Anonymous, so I figured I might as well tried it out. This was my first food subscription box, and although it's a lot of fun, I don't think I'll stay subscribed. For  $7, I received a bottle of flavored water and four individual snack packets, and although it's probably a good deal (I haven't done the calculations yet), I just don't think it's in my budget right now. But I found it to be a fun box to try, and I recommend it to anyone who has the funds!

Total Beauty Mystery Collection ($20 original price ~ $8 my price)

The Subscriptions Anonymous girls and I have been calling this the "Total Crapbox" for weeks, so by the time I got it, I just couldn't help but look at it and laugh. There was a lot of drama that went on with this box, and it'll be a really fun post to write!

And finally, my Ipsy bag for this month! I already looked at my Glam Room before opening it, but sometimes it isn't always correct. However, when I finally opened it today, I was really happy it matched! I'm very happy with what I received and my post will be up soon.

Phew, that's a lot of mail! I hope this post has you excited for what's to come in the future!

What goodies have you received in the mail lately?

Disclaimer: I paid for the Ipsy bag and Total Beauty Mystery Collection myself (though I did get a discount for the TB box because of multiple reasons). All of the other subscription boxes I received with a free code, and the free samples were sent to me because I asked for them during a promotion by the company. The HSN box was sent to me because I won a contest, as were the Aveda samples. Wow, this is a long disclaimer. No one even reads these, do they? Oh well.
