Today's goddess is Artemis. In Greek mythology, she represented chastity, virginity, the environment, and the hunt. However, my favorite part of her backstory is that she is Apollo's twin (who is the sun god), and that she's the goddess of the moon. I've always been a little fascinated with astronomy, so I wanted to incorporate that into my look today.
I did this makeup look before going to work today, so it had to be something wearable for every day. It's a little smokier and darker than I'd usually wear in the daytime, but I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone a little bit (because otherwise these posts would get really repetitive).
But enough about that. Let's get to the good stuff~

FACE
- Benefit Cosmetics | The POREfessional Face Primer ($31 - .75oz)
- e.l.f. | Essential Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer in Sheer ($2 - .11oz)
- Marcelle | BB Cream in Golden Glow ($27 - 1.6oz)
- Maybelline | Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment in Brightener ($9 - .2oz)
- Laura Geller | Balance-n-Brighten Baked Color Correcting Foundation in Fair ($33 - .32oz)
- Physicians Formula | Mineral Glow Pearls in Translucent Pearl ($14 - .28oz)
- Wet N Wild | Color Icon Blusher in Mellow Wine ($3 - .2oz)
After my usual morning skincare regimen, I went in with my Benefit POREfessional Face Primer and e.l.f. Essential Eyelid Primer to prep my face for makeup. I used the e.l.f. primer both under my eyes and on my eyelids, just to make sure my concealer would stay put all day.
After my go-to foundation routine (as seen in last week's makeup post), I went ahead and used Laura Geller Baked Foundation as a setting powder in my T-zone, and applied my Wet 'n Wild Blush. A swipe of Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones and on my cupids bow and I was done!

EYES

- Anastasia of Beverly Hills | Brow Fix Brow Primer ($21 - .1oz)
- Chella | Highlighter Pencil in Ivory Lace ($18 - 1.4g)
- e.l.f. | Essential Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer in Sheer ($2 - .11oz)
- Eddie Funkhouser | Hyperreal Eye Color Palette in Girls on Film ($15 for .28oz)
- Stila | In the Light Palette ($39)

- Stila | Shimmer Eye Pen in Silver (Limited Edition)
- theBalm | What's Your Type? Mascara in The Body Builder ($19 - .33oz)
Eyes are always the most fun, at least for me. After my go-to eyebrow routine (see Aphrodite), I started with the eyeshadow. My Eddie Funkhouser Eye Palette from my May Wantable Makeup Box was the star of this look. I envisioned something silver or pale blue to match the moon inspiration, so this was my best option. I used a steel blue shade all over the lid, and mixed a darker blue and a grey for the crease. The lid color wasn't incredibly pigmented, despite the fact that I packed it on, but that was probably best for someone like me.
My trusty ol' Stila In the Light Palette provided the shade "Bare," which I use as a brow bone highlight and blending shade to make sure the crease color looks seamless. Their signature "Kitten" shade worked as an excellent inner corner highlight! After an application of Urban Decay's Glide-On Pencil and some smudging with a Q-Tip, I applied a bit of Stila's Shimmer Eye Pen over the top of it to give it a silver sheen. After I put on mascara, I was done with the eyes!

LIPS
- Bare Escentuals | SPF 15 Lip Guard (Discontinued)
This part was easy. I didn't want to do a nude lip (just not my thing), so I used this sheer berry lip gloss to top everything off. Bare Escentuals unfortunately doesn't make this line of glosses anymore, but I have one from their Marvelous Moxie line (in the shade "Daredevil") and I think that'll make a nice substitute for anyone who's looking for something like this for fall.
Well, that's everything! I really like how this look came out. In the future might substitute the Eddie Funkhouser shadows for something from my Stila palette (because that's all I ever use anymore, apparently), just to pack more of a punch. This could be a new go-to nighttime look for me!
