Skincare:
Olay Night of Olay Firming Cream (Full-Size: $6.50 ~ 2oz)
I've used this moisturizer for multiple years, and it was in this past May Favorites. I usually keep one set of toilettries at home and another at school to prevent me from lugging my entire medicine cabinet back and forth between breaks, and my other jar of this is almost gone as well. It's thick, creamy, and hydrating. I highly recommend it for someone with dry, combination/dry, or normal skin. It's great! I would definitely repurchase this, but since I'm always curious, I'm looking to try a new nighttime moisturizer. Any recommendations (preferably from the drugstore)?
Hair Care:
EVOLVh UltraShine Moisture Shampoo (Sample-Size: $7 ~ 2oz)
(Full-Size: $24 ~ 8.5oz)
I received this shampoo and the conditioner below from the Total Beauty Mystery Collection back in June. These were my first dive into the world of sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners, and I have to say I loved them! I especially loved how hydrating this shampoo was, and how shiny it made my hair. Since it didn't dry out my hair like other sulfate-stocked shampoos, my hair was looking a little limp and oily on the second day, so I usually had to put some dry shampoo in it. Otherwise, I loved this, and I may never go back to sulfate shampoos again! For more information, see the full review of this shampoo and conditioner here. I'm not sure if I would repurchase this shampoo yet, especially since I never commit to a shampoo for long, but I'm happy I've been introduced to the wonders of sulfate-free shampoo.
EVOVLh UltraShine Moisture Conditioner (Sample-Size: $7 ~ 2oz)
(Full-Size: $25 ~ 8.5oz)
Makeup:
Dr. Jart + Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 PA +++ (Sample-Size: about $1 ~ 5mL)
(Full-Size: $39 ~ 1.5 fl oz)
LANCÔME Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover (Sample-Size: about $11 ~ 1.7 oz)
(Full-Size: $28 ~ 4.2 fl oz)
I took this from my mother's beauty stock before leaving for school, and I'm so happy I did! This removes anything--unlike many other makeup removers claim, this one actually removes mascara with no trouble. It's so wonderful. I love not having to sit in front of my sink wiping my face for ten minutes. I just pour some of this onto a cotton pad--sometimes I have to do one for my face and one for my eyes, depending how much makeup I'm wearing that day--and it all just comes right off! Would I repurchase it? No, because I don't even typically pay that much for my makeup, so paying that price to take it off baffles me. Still, I have one more sample-sized bottle of this, and I will use it with glee. And then I will look for a cheaper alternative.
As sad as it is, using up a good product, it gives you an excuse to buy something else and not feel bad about it. There's a silver lining to every dark cloud :)
